Terms of Use

These Terms explain how you may use this website and, just as important, what it is not: a source of individual medical advice or a way to reach us in an emergency.

Effective

About these Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of www.healthprtcl.com, operated by Health PRTCL · Hyperbaric Medical Group (“Health PRTCL,” “we,” “us”), 10375 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site; you can still call us at (209) 670-1202.

These Terms cover the public website only. They do not replace consent-to-treatment forms, financial policies, our Privacy Policy, our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices or other documents you receive as a patient.

Medical disclaimer: information only

Everything on this site, including text, diagrams, condition descriptions, FAQs, images and quotes, is general educational information about hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and our services. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for an evaluation, diagnosis or treatment recommendation from a qualified clinician who knows your history.

Do not start, stop or change any treatment, or delay seeking care, because of something you read here. Always talk with your own physician about your situation.

Emergencies: call 911

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use email or this website for urgent medical needs. Time-critical hyperbaric cases, such as carbon monoxide poisoning or decompression sickness, are coordinated through hospital emergency teams.

No doctor–patient relationship from using the site

Browsing the site, emailing us or leaving a voicemail does not by itself create a doctor–patient relationship or mean that we have accepted responsibility for your care. That relationship begins only after one of our physicians has evaluated you and we have agreed to treat you. Nothing in these Terms limits the professional duties we owe to established patients.

About HBOT, eligibility and results

  • Physician decision. Whether HBOT is right for you depends on an individual medical evaluation. A physician evaluation and treatment plan are required before any session.
  • Recognized uses. Hyperbaric chambers are medical devices cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for specific conditions. Our program focuses on the UHMS / CMS-recognized indications described on our home page, which closely track the FDA-cleared uses. Other uses may be investigational, are not FDA-cleared and are considered only case by case, with an honest discussion of the evidence. We do not claim that HBOT treats or cures conditions outside these indications.
  • Results vary. Descriptions of possible benefits are not promises. How a person responds depends on the condition, overall health and how closely the treatment plan is followed. Quotes on the site are illustrative and do not guarantee similar outcomes.
  • Risks. HBOT has known risks, including ear and sinus pressure, temporary vision changes and, rarely, oxygen-related effects. Benefits, risks and alternatives are reviewed with you during the informed-consent process before treatment.

Insurance and coverage

Insurance information on this site is general. Coverage depends on your diagnosis, medical documentation, treatment plan and your plan’s rules, and we cannot guarantee that any service will be covered. A benefits verification before treatment is not a guarantee of payment, and you may be responsible for amounts your plan does not pay. Insurer names and logos identify plans we work with; they do not mean the insurer endorses us, and network participation can change, so please confirm with us and your plan.

Contacting us and appointments

The site does not offer online booking, prices or a patient portal. Contacting us does not guarantee an appointment or acceptance as a patient; appointments are set only when our staff confirms them. We respond during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM). Please follow the guidance in our Privacy Policy and do not send sensitive medical details by regular email.

Intellectual property

The site’s text, design, graphics, photographs, diagrams and logos are owned by or licensed to Health PRTCL and are protected by copyright and trademark law. “Health PRTCL,” “PRTCL” and the PRTCL logo are our marks. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use if you keep any notices intact. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use requires our written permission, except as the law allows (such as fair use).

Third-party names and logos, including those of insurers, belong to their owners. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.

Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully. Do not try to gain unauthorized access to it or our systems, disrupt it, introduce malware, scrape it in bulk, impersonate anyone or send spam through its links. Nothing here restricts honest reviews or reports to regulators.

Accuracy and disclaimer of warranties

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or become outdated. Please call us to confirm hours, services and insurance details. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This disclaimer applies to the website only, not to the professional care we provide.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Health PRTCL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising solely from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for medical care, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or anything else that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here waives your rights as a patient.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the website will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Changes and translations

We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above shows the current version. We provide a Spanish version for your convenience. If the two versions conflict, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
